Mojo Monday 156 - Birthday Striping

Another Monday, Another Mojo. This week's sketch allows you to get creative with patterns and stripes. Check our the site for more examples of fellow stampers. (http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/)

For this project, I used an embossing folder with the Big Shot to create the patterns stripes of paper. I also used a striped ribbon in Daffodil Delight to provide another level of striping across the card.

PPA59 – Celebrity Color Challenge

PPA (http://www.palspaperarts.com/) offers a weekly challenge to help you get through that mid-week slump. Each Wednesday you can find a new sketch, color challenge, or a variety of other options to get your creativity going.

A beautiful speckling effect can be created by layering stamp over stamp over stamp. If you add a set which features the two stampin' option you can generate a dimension effect. To complete the look, I added a few stamped and cut out flowers and added a simple message.

Mojo Monday 155 - Beautiful Bunch

It's Mojo Monday time! First week of the month means contest, prizes, fame, fortune! Or you can just play for the love of the mojo. It's a great site to get alittle kick start to your creativity each week. Check it out here - http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/

This card features a fresh bunch of beautiful flowers. The two-step stampin' technique was used to created the dimensional effect. I stamped the images on Very Vanilla paper and cut out each one leaving about a quarter inch border around the image. Several of the new Stampin' Up colors help create the bright and rich palette. Cajun Craze, Tangerine Tango, and Baja Breeze.

Mojo Monday 150 - Trendy Trees

Mojo Monday is a great way to get your creative juices flowing. (http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/) The site provides a new sketch each week. This week's sketch features a hidden scallop edge. I think it's a great way to incorporate alittle extra flouirsh in any card design. The set used for the card is from Stampin' Up - Trendy Trees. The color scheme is great for a nature look or for a masculine card need. (Not Quite Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green, and Chocolate Chip.

PPA38-A Sketch Challenge - Pocket Silhouettes

This week's Pal Paper Arts Challenge is A Sketch Challenge. Pal Paper Arts site is a great opportunity to help inspire you every week in a new challenge. Visit here for further information.

This card features a series of three framed nature sillohouettes. The green scalloped borders of each frame set off the blue ink beautifully. To complete the look, a larger panel contains the thank you message.
  • Card measures a standard 4 1/4" by 5 1/2"
  • The large panel uses a un-re-inking technique - Ink you image once and stamp several times without re-inking in between

Baby Wipe Warm Sunset Strip Greeting Card

This card features a series of warm sunset colors stripped across the background. The black imagery completes the sunset feeling. This card uses the baby wipe technique. You can use any type of wipe you have at home. (a baby wipe, windex wipe, etc.) Fold the wipe in fourths and apply a few drops of several color reinkers to the folded edge. Once colored, swipe the wipe across the gloassy white paper. Make sure you use glossy paper otherwise, the swipe is not to smooth.

Mojo Monday 131 - Thankful Spring Panels

Mojo Monday is a great way to get your creative juices flowing. (http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/) The site provides a new sketch each week. This week's sketch is a three panel layout. I used the 'Sweetest Stems' set along with the 'Frames with a Flourish' to create three outlined panels.

Using markers to just outline the content of the images provides a beautiful coloring technique. I used Spring colors here to compliment the Springtime weather starting to bloom outside.
