By folding a baby wipe in quarters and dropping a few dots of ink, you can create for own stamp pad. Pink, green, and blue ink dots created the elegant spring coloring for my flower petals in this card.
The Simple Stamperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08531207184708336717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-481796416287323002.post-91243694610521794122011-11-20T19:01:00.001-06:002011-11-20T19:03:10.282-06:00Elegant Season's Greetings

Start your season with an elegant ornament display. This card features three dangling ornaments. Each ornament is a two-toned color combination. In order to create the ornament, I stamped the image on vanilla paper and punched it out. Secondly, I punched a slightly larger circle out of the same color as the ink used for the stamped image. Simple green ribbon creates the dangling effect. The Simple Stamperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08531207184708336717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-481796416287323002.post-57987654582203867692011-10-13T20:43:00.003-05:002011-10-13T20:47:19.706-05:00PPA115 - Silly Spooky Spider Card

No ribbon, no layers, and no embellishments. The card features a simple chic sunflower. By stamping the petals in different colors, you have the ability to create a layered look. For this card I used More Mustard and So Saffron. The simple tag 'thank you' in chocolate ship completes the look.

For this card, I went sponge crazy. I started with the partially colored-in tree stamp. Using a combination of Basic Black and Whisper White, I sponged a foggy background over the entire card. Then I punched a 1-1/4' circle and used it as a mask to sponge in More Mustard and Daffodil Delight for the moon. To create the fog effort over the moon, take the edge of your sponge and swipe white across. Finally to complete the card, I added a two step stampin' process with the 'Goblin Greetings' message.
The Simple Stamperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08531207184708336717noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-481796416287323002.post-4454372907500408382010-09-16T19:23:00.000-05:002010-09-16T19:23:45.744-05:00Mojo Monday 156 - Birthday Striping

Another Monday, Another Mojo. The scallop is created by tracing a oval shape across the bottom of the white center panel. The scallop is divided by double stitched chocolate ribbon and golden medallion. The layered circles creating the medallion is a great way to accent any card or scrapbook page. To complete the look, the Thank You Message is right aligned in a lower portion of the card.
The Simple Stamperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08531207184708336717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-481796416287323002.post-38951854742657446452010-01-17T16:26:00.000-06:002010-01-17T16:26:25.537-06:00Sponged Lattice Design Card

This card utilizes a great technique traditionally used on walls, Sponging! It's started by obtaining a cut out of a design. In this case, I used the lattice cut-out from Stampin' Up. Then, by using a sponge dabbed on your ink pad, sponge all over and around the cut-out. Simple sponging over the Lattice die-cut creates a beautiful design.

Heavy vs. light sponging can easily change the intensity of the coloring and appearance.

I would also recommend sponging in multiple colors. It can create a fabulous blending and shading of colors. The Simple Stamperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08531207184708336717noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-481796416287323002.post-52348204848432435112009-11-14T19:39:00.003-06:002009-11-14T19:42:55.956-06:00Spotlighted Hope Background Card

This card features a spotlight technique. The gray background is stamped first. Second, use a teal marker to color in a smaller portions of the background stamp and stamp on white. Finally use two sized circle punches to create the pop-out look. Accent the card with a simple red ribbon and three silver brads.
This creates a nice frame for the message area. Also, adding some texture to the red square on the base of the card provides a great texture point on the card. The final white accent of the ribbon balances the square bottom of the card with the oval message area.
